Brien King  has been developing software for over 28 years.  Over the years he has done development using a multitude of languages and technologies.  His professional development career started in 1992 with a company called Computer Information Systems where he worked Tech Support/Software Maintainer.

In November of 1993, he went to work for a company called Syntellect doing Tech Support.  Syntellect is one of the largest providers of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) units.  After writing an application that would return locations closest to a given zip code, he was moved to the Development department to develop applications for their new “VocalPoint” platform.  
In 1994, he was responsible for leading the development of the new architecture used for developing their banking applications.  He was responsible for doing research and development on host communications and databases for future applications.  He was also responsible for writing in house utilities for use by other developers.

After Syntellect, he was recruited in 1995 as a business partner with a company called Codisys3 Technologies (known as Electronic Solutions at that time) to do the software development for the company’s clients.  Codisys3 is a company that provides networking, consulting and custom software development for businesses in the Phoenix Arizona area.  The first project that he worked on was for National Car Rental in Phoenix, Denver and Colorado Springs.  Over the next three years he developed over 15 different applications, some of which can be seen in the Portfolio section.  A majority of the projects where high pressure and very tight dead-lines.

In 1999, he went to work for a company called CADTEL to help finish their 6.0 product.  CADTEL is one of the major providers of GIS (Geographical Information Systems) Software for the telephone industry.  The software is used by telephone engineers to document and design their physical and logical networks.  The first project he worked on was finishing the development of an ODBC driver.  His primary responsibility, after finishing the ODBC driver, was to develop engineering tools such as Loop Makeup, Ripple, Pair Assignment, and other engineering related tools.  After the lead devloper on the "Core Team" left, he was moved into that position where he was responsible for enhancing and maintaining the code that was used as the underlying framework for the application.

After surviving four layoffs at CADTEL, he decided it was time to move on and went to work for a company called Dancris Telecom.  At Dancris, he was responsible for developing web based applications using PHP and MS SQL Server 2K.  While working there he dealt with the administration and optimization of databases with hundreds of millions of rows.
After surviving four more layoffs at Dancris, the company decided to eliminate what was left its IT department.  It was at this point that he decided to form ClassicSoft.
